For the location in 4616 Weißkirchen an der Traun we are looking for a dedicated Head of department for our shipping team. Your tasks

  • Management of the dispatch teamResponsibility for the disciplinary management and development of approx. 27 employees. You will support and encourage your team and ensure a positive working environment.
  • Ensuring on-time loadingThey ensure that all goods are loaded safely, efficiently and according to specifications.
  • Close exchange with other departmentsYou coordinate regularly with the upstream departments, the logistics management and the carriers to guarantee a smooth process.
  • Personnel deployment planningIn cooperation with the team leaders, you will take care of staff scheduling and vacation planning and conduct regular employee appraisals.
  • Further development of logistics processesYou will work on the continuous improvement and optimization of existing logistics processes and implement internal departmental projects.

 

Your profile

  • Training in operational logistics or relevant experience in the logistics sector.
  • Experience in employee managementYou already have several years of experience in leading teams, ideally also in lean management.
  • Digital competence: Confident handling of modern IT tools, especially Microsoft 365.
  • Strong communication skills and empathyYou have good communication skills and work in a proactive, responsible and solution-oriented manner.
  • Personal responsibility and reliabilityYou work independently and take responsibility for your team and the processes.
  • Written and spoken German 
  • Driving license B with own car
